Fantastic Four and The Watcher by Los Angeles artist Gabriel Hardman. Gabriel has recently returned to the world of comics after a successful career as a storyboard artist on such films as X-Men 2, Superman Returns and Spider-Man 3. He currently provides art for Marvel’s Agents of Atlas and has recently collaborated with his wife, Corinna Sara Bechko, on the Image/Shadowline graphic novel Heathentown. This re-imaging of the cover to Fantastic Four #49 is by American artist Otis Frampton. Otis is the creator of the ‘Oddly Normal‘ graphic novel series, published by Viper Comics. His other credits include sketch cards sets for Topps and online content for Star Wars.com. You can watch live recordings of Otis colouring this piece here and here.

Spongebob Superteam!

Our 100th post is from Nashville based Illustrator and Designer Paul Conrad. This re-imaging of the cover to Fantastic Four #49, featuring the denizens of Bikini Bottom, will soon see print in a special Spongebob 10th anniversary edition of Nickelodeon Magazine. Paul, who has worked for Pixar, Disney, Big Idea and Scholastic, writes about the evolution of this piece at his blog ‘Super Robot Monster‘.
