Why Jack?
Jack Kirby was and continues to be such an important creative force in the history of the comic book. He managed to change the way we look at comics and media forever, inventing new concepts, new ideas, hundreds of new characters and entirely new worlds. His visual language and drawing design were unique. For these reasons and hundreds more, the true creative vision of Jack Kirby must be told to all and just as importantly, preserved for us now and for future generations. Today’s blockbuster movies only tell a portion of this truth, clouding Jack’s contributions with politics and big corporate agendas. I feel the Jack Kirby Museum is an vital organization to teach, promote, learn and discover Jack Kirby and I’m proud to be a part of it.
