Anyway, Kirby doesn&#8217;t write this series, just pencils. We open just after the events of &#8220;The Hunger Dogs&#8221;, with Darkseid&#8217;s rule overturned.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"\/\/kirbymuseum.org\/blogs\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2006\/03\/Super-Powers-1-1985.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-3597\" alt=\"Super Powers #1 [1985]\" src=\"\/\/kirbymuseum.org\/blogs\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2006\/03\/Super-Powers-1-1985-696x1024.jpg\" width=\"448\" height=\"659\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kirbymuseum.org\/blogs\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2006\/03\/Super-Powers-1-1985-696x1024.jpg 696w, https:\/\/kirbymuseum.org\/blogs\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2006\/03\/Super-Powers-1-1985-204x300.jpg 204w, https:\/\/kirbymuseum.org\/blogs\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2006\/03\/Super-Powers-1-1985-624x917.jpg 624w, https:\/\/kirbymuseum.org\/blogs\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2006\/03\/Super-Powers-1-1985.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s able to find some of his most loyal servants, DeSaad, Kalibak and Steppenwolf (actually just &#8220;animated bodies&#8221; of them that he brought back to life) and escape to the moon, where they plan the conquest of Earth, which is where our various action figures, um, I mean, heroes, come in, splitting into teams to investigate five\u00a0mysterious\u00a0seeds which have appeared through the world, which seem to be digging to the Earth&#8217;s core. J&#8217;onn J&#8217;onzz goes to England where he meets up with Aquaman to investigate one of the seeds.
