That is part of the problem with the term swipe. It really covers a wide range of actions. I am not sure I am bother that much by shortcuts but I am about just copying. As you said the artists must impart his touch.</description>

What I find wrong or upsetting are the artists that only swipe and blend many artists styles together with no sense of originality. Many artists swipe from others in an attempt to learn techniques and better themselves; if they only swipe to take shortcuts and add nothing to the mix they are copying and lack a distinct personality.</description>
