I suppose its possible they shared the penciling, although Kirby may have only touched up some work here and there. 

I haven&#039;t seen the complete issue myself, so it&#039;s tough to judge, but your examples point to the majority of the work being Joe Simon&#039;s hand.</description>

I cannot say I agree with your examples, but that&#039;s okay. But are you saying that you think Joe and Jack shared penciling the page?

If you accept that the majority of 48 Famous Americans should be attributed to Simon then you made a step that most experts and scholars are not willing to make.

I would agree that the majority of the art you posted appears to be by Joe Simon. The only possible Kirby touches I see appear on the cover figure holding the rifle, the drawing of Carver in the bottom panel of that story and the middle panel in Paul Revere - the way the main figure is positioned, as well as the main figure in the crowd, suggests Kirby involvement to me. Of course, as I am learning, I could be wrong, but, aside from your possibilities, the majority should certainly be attributed to Simon.</description>
