Unpublished Jimmy Olsen cover. Colletta inks. The faces of Jimmy Olsen and Clark Kent are still in the pencil phase so DC could have another inker deliniate the features to fit what they considered their standard Superman “look.” Not sure why this cover was rejected. Maybe the title being too low on the cover? 

I guess Jack mailed the art to Vinnie first, then Vinnie inked it and mailed it to the DC offices? I wonder how that worked with the lettering phase — usually art is lettered before it’s inked. Also we have Goody Rickles here — one of Jack’s wackiest creations. This is just a bizarre little piece of Kirbyana. Note Jack’s caption: “Don’t ask!!! Just buy and read total suspenzanysism!!!”
